WSET LEVEL 3 (Mondays* in Wimbledon)

Date: 23/06/2023
Location: 67 High St, London SW19 5EE
Price (per person): £930.00

Building on the knowledge gained through the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines, the Level 3 Award in Wines goes both broader and deeper. It is designed to give you a thorough understanding of the factors that account for the style, quality and price of the principal still, sparkling and fortified wines of the world.

Welcome to the exciting world of WSET Level 3, where wine enthusiasts embark on a thrilling adventure through vineyards, cellars, and swirling glasses. Explore the vast vineyard landscapes, savoring the scent of sun-soaked grapes and the earthy aromas of terroir – all from the comfort and convenience of The Black Lamb in Wimbledon Village.

Having completed Level 2, Level 3 takes you deeper into the mysteries of winemaking. You’ll decipher the complex codes of fermentation, oak aging, and the wizardry of blending. And let’s not forget the fascinating world of wine regions. From the rolling hills of Bordeaux to the sun-drenched vineyards of California, you’ll become a globetrotter of wine, exploring the unique personalities of each terroir. You might even pick up a few fun facts along the way, like why monks were the original wine connoisseurs or how sparkling wine made its effervescent debut.

As you cross the finish line of WSET Level 3, you’ll have gained a wealth of knowledge, transforming you into a true wine adventurer. Armed with your newfound expertise, you’ll be able to make informed decisions or recommendations about wine for work, and confidently navigate wine lists and impress friends with your impeccable pairings.

At the Wimbledon Wine School we aim to make the course as enjoyable and engaging as possible – not difficult when wine is your subject! Our class sizes are kept small which means the courses are always intimate and personal, questions and discussion are encouraged, and there’s opportunity to get to know your fellow students.
