Bourgogne Pinot Noir Les Chapitres de Jaffelin, Maison Jaffelin

A native of Burgundy, the Pinot Noir likes limestone soils in which it reveals its full aromatic potential. The grapes come from different parcels, all located in the Côte d’Or. The grapes are harvested by hand and transported in 20 Kg crates. The harvested grapes are entirely destemmed and then go into vat for around 15 days at below 32°C. Partially aged in previously-used French oak barrels for one year, before being bottled.

Vintage: 2022
Grape Varieties: Pinot Noir

Produced by Maison Jaffelin

Jaffelin, the smallest of the great Burgundy wine houses, entered a new chapter in its history in 2004, when it completely renovated its vat room and fitted it out with high precision equipment. Marinette Garnier, oenologist-winemaker, creates these "hand-made" wines in this magical location in the historical centre of Beaune. Since then, Jaffelin continues to present the very best of the finest Burgundy terroirs within a comprehensive collection of wines, which are recognised in prestigious wine competitions and appreciated by connoisseurs around the world.

Tasting Notes

Bright ruby red. On the nose, the wine releases pronounced aromas of crunchy red fruit. Powerful yet supple on the palate with smooth, coated tannins. The fruit is perfectly balanced with the oak, adding fine aromatic complexity.
