Bourgogne Blanc 2021
Harvested by hand in small, perforated cases to avoid crushing or oxidizing the fruit. Mostly from domaine vines (Meursault-area) with some purchased fruit from the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune. After pneumatic pressing, the juice was brought down to the cellar to large 12 and 14-hectoliter French oak foudres for alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation and aging. After about a year and a half, the wine was racked up to stainless steel tanks for assemblage and filtering before bottling.
Produced by Benjamin Leroux
Ben was born in 1975 in Beaune, not to a vigneron family, yet decided in his teens that wine was what he wanted to do. After his enology studies, he worked at Cos d'Estournel in Bordeaux, Domaine Drouhin in Oregon, Louis Jadot in Beaune, and Comte Armand in Pommard, where he was named technical director and manager at the age of 24. In 2007, he founded his own domaine and négoce.

Tasting Notes
Jasper Morris MW86-88/100
Mix of domaine and purchases from Hautes Côtes and Côte de Nuits. Another fine clear colour. The fruit comes up immediately on the nose. Generously juicy, fresh plums and a little lemongrass, good acidity, some energy to this, medium persistence.
